Summarize your bug it does happen that during an entire match I can't see the ping marker from my squad but I can hear the sound. I noticed that it could happen when having a friend in the party or with full random squad players, doesn't matter if I restart the game or not; one strange thing is that if I play let's say 6 matches in a raw, I have a chance or two to see the friendly ping in the entire match but without a specific or apparently logical order (could be the first only, or the third and the fourth, or the second and the last, etc.).
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? unfortunately I have no idea because to me it seems to happen randomly without any apparent reason or any kind of "trigger"
What happens when the bug occurs? I can hear the ping sound from my squad mate (or party mate) but can't see the ping marker on the HUD nor on the mini map.
What should be happening instead? the ping marker should be visible on both HUD and mini map when a squad/party mate trigger it.
here is a recent clip of the bug: https://youtu.be/4iQPsCLNjfc
I could attach other clips where the bug still occur or where the bug isn't present at all, but I don't see any reason for doing that but I'll do if requested.
I also attach the DxDiag file (no idea if could help) and a screenshot of my actual setting for the ping marker.
What I've tried so far trying to fix the issue:
- repair the game files inside the EA App (on the game icon, clicking the three dots and then select repair)
- clicked on "restore default" button located below "hud icons" settings (I saw this suggestion in another post) and set manually my preferences
my GPU drivers are always updated to the latest version available.
it's good to mention that personally this bug hasn't been introduced with the latest Season 7, but I have it from longer time, maybe since Season 5 but I can't recall correctly.
