the take downs in past battlefield worked almost 100% of the time. also, first person takedowns just looked cooler.&nbsp;
I don't know what is happening to Battlefield, but it isn't good.
please dice, EA whoever just fix this.

3rd person takedowns don't work in 2042 and are buggy at best, they also really only work in my experience if an enemy isn't moving at all and is standing up facing 180 degrees in the opposite direction. I have tried reporting it as a bug and don't really get any response. but I don't think anyone has. I never heard anyone complain about 1st person takedowns, they worked better and looked cooler and added to the immersion. again, I don't know what is happening to Battlefield, but it isn't good.

please, DICE, EA, whoever just fix this. battlefield one was one of the best in my opinion after all the bugs were fixed, why has every Battlefield since felt like they just don't care

@OMEN_K_1-6&nbsp;Personally, I could easily do without take-downs all together (I find most of them in games like this silly to be honest) but if they are going to be in the game, they could have done much better.&nbsp; .....and yes, I agree they should be in the same perspective (first person).&nbsp; .....but this small potatoes vs. everything else I wish they would fix / change in this game.&nbsp;

I'm close to having tens of thousands of melee kills across the franchise but I don't even think I've hit 100 with 2042 ☹️. I personally enjoy BF1's implementation the most but I know a lot of people who opt for BF's system

You have to come up directly behiind someone to get the takedown. If they move at all, all you do is swipe at them and it takes 2 hits to kill. This is frustrating because in past games, hitting "F" engaged the take down a lot easier than now.
