Turbo boost not working
Hi, turbo boost isn't working while playing bf 2042. Intel 9700kf. yes my pc is in high performance mode (turbo boost works fine with all other games/apps).

Options / General / Network:
Show Network performance Bar - Show Always
Show Graphic performance Bar - Show Always
Also check with HWINFO64 (sensors only ticked) and keep an eye at the temps please when ya are ingame !

i see youre TN spiking at 24 (maybe even higher).
TN = TimeNudge and is client related issue.
Could ya keep an eye at youre TN during gaming.
A high TN make it feel laggy/sluggie slow respoinse !!!
Need to check youre system performance if its enough or get drained down somehow by other software/hardware !!!

Cheers Thanks for your time but it feels like we’re in a bit of a stall here. In most demanding situations cpu is the bottleneck due to the fact that the game isn’t (somewhat/somehow) triggering the intel turbo boost. No other app are having the same problem, even games that require more “capacity”. In the video I’ve linked in previous messages(my YouTube channel), you can clearly see cpu load at 100% at 3.6ghz (base) clock at 50° Celsius. In COD or Forza H5, with everything up to max resolution, CPU stays happily from 3.8 up to 4.4 ghz, with 56° Celsius max.. so unfortunately something isn’t working properly
- @er_biondino Ya need to do some investigation.
BF2042 is a very CPU intensive game, it will eat almost all youre cores.
Its possible ya got to much hardware connected and / or software running in the background so PC (<-- cpu) cant keep it up with the new Gen game <--- BF2042
Cheers If you are running the nVidia 546.01 drivers try rolling back to the nVidia 537.58 drivers. Reddit is showing high CPU usage with the newer drivers.
Worth a try.
