Unable to connect to BattleField 2042 servers out of nowhere

This happened in the middle of the game. I was playing the game when the loading icon interrupted gameplay and after that the popup with the info "unable to connect to server" appeared. Nor game restart nor try again or close button don't help. The internet is fine and the battlefield server state is also fine though on the official servers state page.
