Unable to load persistence data (EA server issue)

Hello, today I launched the game and the game just ends up in infinite loop of 'Connecting to Online Services' and now get 'Unable to load persistence data' error on Steam version of Battlefield 2042...

    Have you tried logging out of the EA app and logging back in?

I am also having this issue. I have rebooted, performed app recovery, and repaired the game.

None of that worked. The only thing that has is using a VPN. If I disconnect my VPN then I lose connection and can't reconnect. So, for now I'll have to play using a VPN.

Make this make sense

That's the only thing that has worked for me too, this has been going on since yesterday night (04/02) and I've also noticed my stats aren't updating either.
