Can't Connect to BF2042 – Ban Removed (Error EC:10901 / EC:10608)
Hi EA team and community, I’m hoping someone can help or clarify what’s going on. I was previously banned from Battlefield 2042, but that penalty has since been removed and the case is now marked as closed. However, when I try to launch the game, I still can’t connect — I consistently get error codes EC:10901 and EC:10608, and sometimes a message that says “your account is banned.” This has been happening for over a week now. I’ve tried: Restarting my PC and router Clearing cache Reinstalling the game Logging in from different devices Nothing has worked. The ban is lifted, so I don’t understand why I still can't access the game. On top of that, I’ve spent hours trying to find a way to contact EA Support or the Terms of Service team again, but there’s no way to open a new case. Every time I submit through the webform, I just get a message saying “Thanks for submitting your issue. Choose an option for more help,” with no confirmation email, no case ID, and no actual contact or resolution options — just self-help articles. I’m completely stuck here. I just want to get back into the game and earn those precious Battlefield 6 skins before it's too late. Can anyone point me in the right direction or escalate this to someone who can actually look into it? Thanks, BowWasTaken[FIXED] Battlefield 6 Save & Settings Issue — Windows Security Blocking Solved!
If your Battlefield 6 keeps resetting settings or won’t save progress, it could be Windows Security silently blocking the game’s files. What happened: Windows Security didn’t show any pop-ups until I launched the game. Loading the campaign triggered the alert, and that’s when I realized it was blocking access to save and config files — the game literally couldn’t touch its own files. How I fixed it: 1. Open Windows Security → Virus & threat protection → Protection history. 2. Look for any blocked Battlefield 6 files and click Allow on device. 3. To stop it from happening again, go to Manage settings → Add or remove exclusions. 4. Add your Battlefield 6 install folder as an exclusion (for example: C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 6). After doing this, all game settings and save files worked perfectly. No more resets — it was just Windows Security silently blocking access. **Note:** Search your PC and make sure the following files exist and are not being blocked: * `PROFSAVE` * `PROSAVE_profile` * `steam_autocloud.vdf` These files are usually located in: C:\Users\<YourName>\Documents\Battlefield 6\settings If any of these files are missing, Battlefield 6 may not be able to save or load your progress correctly. These files are required for Battlefield 6 to properly save your settings and progress. Also verify that **Windows Virus & Threat Protection** (especially **Real-time protection**) isn’t blocking or quarantining them — this can silently prevent the game from writing or updating your save data. ***Steps to Add Full Control for Battlefield 6 Settings Folder*** (This has also helped some users to resolve issue with save file) Navigate to the folder: Open File Explorer and go to: C:\Users\<YourName>\Documents\Battlefield 6 (or wherever your Battlefield 6 folder is located) Open Properties: Right-click the Battlefield 6 folder → select Properties. Open Security Settings: Click the Security tab at the top. Edit Permissions: Click Edit… to change permissions. Select Your User: In the list under “Group or user names,” select your Windows user account. If your user isn’t listed, click Add…, type your username, and click Check Names → OK. Grant Full Control: Under “Permissions for [YourUser],” check Full control → click Apply → OK. Propagate Permissions: When prompted, choose Apply changes to this folder, subfolders, and files → click OK. Close Properties: Click OK to close all dialogs.Banned account
I've also posted this in the general discussion but thought I would share it here also to potentially have some sort of response: My account was randomly banned on Battlefield 1 and Battlefield 2042. I wanted to go back to these games after having fun playing the BF6 beta. Last time I played Battlefield 1 was towards the end of 2023, but after trying to sign to play in August of this year I was notified that my account has been banned from playing on July 1st. I honestly didn't think this was a massive issue as I had 2042 I could still play. I was able to play 2042 for maybe 2-3 days before I got another message saying that I was banned from 2042 as well. I appealed both bans through EA help only to have my Battlefield 1 appeal closed, their reasoning was "this is a duplicate of an existing appeal" and I can't resubmit. My appeal for 2042 was also denied. I asked for reasoning as to why the account was banned, the best they came up with was "Violating User Agreement" or using "Gameplay Enhancements". I've asked that if they have the means, please review my gameplay for the proof that I have not used any exploits or cheats of any kind. I never use in game chat and exclusively talk with my friends through discord. The appeal was denied again. "We have received your most recent correspondence expressing concerns about the action that was taken on your account. After thoroughly investigating your account and concern, we again found that we actioned your account correctly after it was found to have violated our User Agreement. We will also be unable to provide any details regarding our internal procedures. Due to this violation, we will not remove the sanction that was applied to your account." I refuse to buy Battlefield 6 because of this. Absolutely no specific reason was given to what I have done to violate their terms. If anyone else has had a similar experience and had it rectified please let me knowBF6's Release Broke BF2042's Portal Editor
Since BF6's release I have been unable to access BF2042's Portal Editor, the website has me in a loop of signing in and sending me back to the BF6/BF2042 Portal Editor selector, or sometimes simply not signing me in and putting me in the 2042 Portal Editor with none of my experiences saying "Unable To Retrieve Your Experiences". I'm unsure if this is an issue everyone is facing, but I just wanted make everyone aware that this is happening. I've been working on some BF2042 projects that I would like to finish and I'm sure this issue will be fixed eventually if it isn't already.SolvedBF2042 & BF4 license missing
Good evening, I was setting up my OBS for the morning and went in to load BF2042. However, when I attempted to load in I was greeted with a message stating that I did not have the license for the product. This also occurred on my BF4, when i looked at my EA app both games were missing from my Library. However they are on my Desktop and all of their corresponding files are where they are supposed to be. The only thing that shows up in my Library is BF6 and the last know update for any of my BF games outside of the recent download for BF6 was for BF2042 on September 9th. Can anyone please point me in the direction of where, how, or who can fix/address this situation for meUnauthorized Change to EA Multiplayer Shared Membership on Xbox
I have recently found that on the Xbox console, EA’s multiplayer-required titles can no longer recognize that the account logged into the console is eligible for shared membership benefits. Previously, as long as one playing account was online on the console, multiplayer could function normally even if the account providing the membership service was signed out in the background. However, it now requires both accounts to be logged in on the same console simultaneously to access multiplayer features. This change was made without any prior notice or announcement, which significantly impacts players’ existing shared membership rights and contradicts Microsoft’s Home Xbox sharing policy.Connection issues
Hello all, Everytime I log into to play battlefield it takes ages to connect online I know its not my Internet as every game works fine juat battlefield for some reason it just won't connect then when it does it never shows my social friends online almost like im in a bad lobby for example I log into fc26 just fine straight away but battlefield nope just won't let me in ive also deleted it and re downloaded it and same thing i wonder if EA can look into this for me please as its frustrating and I want to buy the new one but if the same issues persist then won't be worth it for meJust started BF2042 on PC from Console - Immediately Banned
So to start, I've played BF on consoles since 1942 and all the way through BFBC2 and BF3-4 (skipped BF1 and BFV) and well into BF 2042. I decided to try BF 2042 on PC due to the beta for BF6 being available through steam and getting an early access code from a creator giveaway. Beta went amazing and played about 100 matches between Weekend 1 and 2. Hearing they had challenges for BF6 rewards in 2042. So here I am logging into my second instance on 2042 and hoping in a portal mode to play bigger ticket maps and get my XP when I was mid match and hit with "you've been banned" only to read the email after saying I was cheating? This is where I'm lost but might know why I got banned. I play tons of IDLE games on my PC while doing work and I have an autoclicker downloaded that helps me play https://orteil.dashnet.org/cookieclicker/ COOKIE CLICKER and other similar IDLE games where autoclickers are encouraged! I have zero reason to click the mouse button when I play controller in battlefield and I think EA's Anti-cheat picked that up and immediately banned me. I appealed this ban obviously and tried to find anything that would get me logs to help prove my case but I didn't find any logs or anything outside submitting my BF2042 stats which I'll post here. I am clearly NOT cheating with stats like mine but if anyone can help me or has experience reversing a ban, this would be insanely appreciated as a long time lover and fan of BF series and hater of cheating as a console player who is usually forced to play with cheater (why i stopped playing Warzone). Thanks a million all and I really hope and pray someone can help me!
