Unable to load persistence data (EA server issue)

Hello, today I launched the game and the game just ends up in infinite loop of 'Connecting to Online Services' and now get 'Unable to load persistence data' error on Steam version of Battlefield 2042...

    Have you tried logging out of the EA app and logging back in?

Logging out and in doesn't work. Flushing dns doesn't work. Restarting pc doesn't work. Switching between ethernet and wireless doesn't work. Restarting the EA app doesn't work. Force stopping EA anti cheat background  process doesn't work. I'm out of ideas. The conclusion I've landed on is that EA is incompetent.
