I'm seeing this issue now suddenly after Update 3.1 (Dec.10 2022)
Tried all the cache refreshes (Origin and Documents\Battlefield 2042)
Updated to EA App, thinking maybe Origin is unsupported now.
I can confirm I can get it to work if I tether my connection to a mobile device (undesirable).
Why that is I have no idea.
I honestly think it’s an ISP issue. My ISP is coming by my building tomorrow to address an issue here. I should be getting about 10x higher download an my upload speed is fine. Check Speedtest.net to see if your connection is up to snuff, if not, there might be other issues your ISP can address.
For me I’m quite certain it’s an ISP issue ( I’ll confirm the fix tomorrow ), because the game has been working fine for months until now.
In the meantime, if you have a good cellular (or other internet) connection you could try unplugging your bad connection and try another.
if you have an iOS device just unplug your existing connection then plug in your device and turn on personal hotspot and enable the connection sharing. Windows should pick it up.
Update: Now that my ISP came in and fixed my connection speed issue, the error is no more and I can connect to the game servers normally. Issue resolved, for me.
