I'd like to mention that I've had the exact same issue as you.

I use an USB 3.0 Hub which is powered by an external power supply, and while playing BF2042 I've also had the sudden sound cut and then instantly a permanent and VERY LOUD hissing sound which blasted my ears. I've litteraly had to throw my headset away otherwise I would have been deaf. I had tinnitus in the following minutes.


A restart of the game solved the issue.

It is the only game in which I've had this kind of issues.

Is your headset USB powered by any chance?

    Hey @EA_Leeuw ,


    It's wireless. It's the Logitech G Pro X Wireless. The USB transmitter was plugged in the USB hub.

        @EA_Leeuw;-).

        I don't know, to be honest it happened only once (and I hope it will the remain the only as it may be harmful as the noise is very loud) in its lifetime, and it was on BF2042, after hundreds (if not thousands) hours of use.
