Ok, I tried what you suggested and it crashed on the first game I tried. I later played for 3 hours and had 3 or 4 more crashes and I also have the freezing for a few seconds thing again that was gone for a few weeks. It is so annoying that when you are going to shoot the enemy or even throw a grenade, then you freeze for a second or two and you get killed every time. :( When I fixed the stutter or freezing recently I turned off ambient occlusion and some other setting. I also, just today watched a video about the micro or mini freeze issue and disabled the two sound setting for the Nvidia driver in device manager but it did not help. I will keep trying to figure it out but in the end it will likely "fix itself" when Microsoft, NVidia, or EA fix the problem but nobody wants to take the blame for it. :)
