Windows 10 - BF2042 won't launch anymore (incl. Error Code 30005)

I played the game yesterday for several hours on Windows 10.
Then I was not able to start it anymore.
The splashscreen with EasyAntiCheat icon loads all the way to the end two times and then closes without error.

I tried the following things:
Reinstalling Origin, Battlefield 2042, EasyAntiCheat, GPU driver, DirectX, Windows 10.
Running Origin as admin and deleting it's cache.
Doing a clean boot as described on EA website.
Running EA Desktop App as admin.
Disabling Firewall and Windows Defender.

It shows me Error Code 30005 once when launching the game for the first time after EAC install.
After performing these steps the splashscreen with EasyAntiCheat icon loads all the way to the end two times and then closes without error.

There is no relevant information in Windows event viewer.
Customer support was not able to help and the problem persists.

  • Just to add to my last update. After the above I closed origin and opened EA Play and I was able to launch BF from it without any issues.

  • Same here after the patch, game will load anti cheat 2 times and then just say Play in Origin, I tried ALL and nothing works :/

  • @axelstellar I have done everything posted. Played most of the week with zero issues. Now they update and I can get the game to load lol it’s definitely the game. Brand new computer literally a month old.

I also reinstalled windows yet nothing changed. EasyAim claims if all their steps fail it’s a windows corruption issue. Yet every other game works just fine on my computer even other Battlefield titles.  This is clearly and EA / EasyAim issue.

** my issues was identified as a bad RAM stick **

  • I'm having this exact same issue as well. I've played about 40 hours total for the past week but since today I'm getting this error and I'm unable to launch the game at all...
  • An update. I was able to get it working again by repairing the game in Origin (not EA Play, this doesn't exist there yet) and then launching the game from Origin. One thing to note, once the repairing was done it auto launched the game but the same thing happened, I launched it again right after manually and it worked.
  • Just to add to my last update. After the above I closed origin and opened EA Play and I was able to launch BF from it without any issues.
