Well, since support wasn't any help, I used AI to help scan my EA App logs. I figured out how to fix it. I am not sure which one fixed it, but it was one of the following or a mix:
- I deleted my battlefield 2042 settings profile, you will need to change all of your settings again if you do this. The file is located in Documents/Battlefield 2042/settings. Delete PROFSAVE
- I went to C:\Users\YOURNAMEHERE\AppData\Local\BattlefieldGameData.kin-release.Win32 and deleted my Cache Folder
- Then I went to my Battlefield 2042 installation folder, then EAAntiCheat folder, I opened EAAntiCheat.Installer.exe and selected 2042 from the drop down, clicked uninstall, closed the .exe. I then reopened the .exe and selected 2042 from the drop down, and clicked install.
- Once that's done, I cleared the cache for EA launcher and then uninstalled and reinstalled it. Logged in
The AI broke down my entire log folder and told me there was a cloud sync error with my settings folder, the anti cheat also was having issues syncing with the game, and that the EA app was having trouble connecting with steam to successfully launch the game. Once I did all of those, it opened flawlessly.
