Same issue here with both an Xbox Elite Series 2 and a Dualsense 5.
Playing via Steam.
Fixes attempted:
Updated Elite Series 2 firmware via Xbox Accessories application on Win10
Connected via USB
Connected via Bluetooth
Disabled Steam controller support
Enabled Xbox controller support in Big Picture (Also attempted this with Playstation controller support with the Dualsense 5)
Enabled Xbox extended feature support in Big Picture
Connected controller prior to booting PC
Connected controller after booting PC but prior to launching BF2042
Connected controller after launching BF2042
Connected controller mid-match
During each and every attempt I simply get zero input from the controllers. I saw some people reporting randomized inputs but I can't get either of my controllers to do anything at all. During the beta I had a regular XBone controller that worked except the controller itself had a bigger issue and I had to get rid of it, and I replaced it with the Elite Series 2 which never worked at all for the beta but works flawlessly for any other PC game I try to use it with. I've double and triple checked both controllers are working with Windows and they work just fine outside of BF2042.
I only want to use these for jets because the M+KB controls for jets is garbage. I can fly helicopters/VTOLs just fine with keyboard.
POTENTIAL FIX!!!
I don't know if DICE rolled out a fix on the backend or what I did solved it, but I uninstalled vJoy and the controller started working. Currently I have Steam controller support disabled, which is one of the things I tested earlier, but it seems Battlefield was very unhappy with vJoy. I doubt everyone having the issue on PC has vJoy installed but if you DO have it installed, try uninstalling it and then going through the other troubleshooting motions such as disabling Steam controller support.

@FLYINGTOASTRif your using input mapper it stuffs up alot of controller input stuff. but DS4 is perfectly fineI am not using input mapper. The motherboard's Bluetooth connectivity with ALL my xbox controllers don't function properly with this game ONLY, I have to have the controllers plugged in via USB cable. And I figured out what's causing losing focus issue and looking at a different place randomly is my speakers making my mouse shake and that's what causes it. I am not trying to figure out a way to disable the keyboard and mouse when I have a controller plugged in. If you know how I would appreciate you letting us know.
