Aerial vehicles are USELESS because of stingers

Hate to break it to you but this is how it's always been even since BF3

I have had whole rounds in a jet and the helicopter, and yes there is stingers but that is part of the fun. use the terrain to break lock, only use flares when you have incomming rather than locked. If you use flares when you are locked you have just doomed your self.

Stingers are finally worth carrying again, just like in BF3 and BF4. In Battlefield 2042, anti-air got nerfed so hard it may as well have been a water pistol — even the Wildcat had the range of a pea shooter and the armour of wet cardboard, meaning one aircraft pass and you were scrap metal. Now infantry can actually swat aircraft instead of waving at them.

Nerfing anti-air would surely lead to the exact same argument but from the other perspective: "infantry is USELESS against aircraft - aircraft need to be heavily nerfed".

Downing low-flying aircraft is simply expected behaviour for a Stinger missile.

Stingers should remain a threat, but as they are now, it is too OP.

1. Every engineer can carry both an RPG and a stinger. Make them choose like before.
2. Stinger range outdoes the heli range currently. Make them dangerous when you are near, but not from 2 points away.
3. Heli had very clunky controls and made it impossible to manouvre more quickly away from danger. (Might need to play with settings here, but it felt very unresponsive and slow)
4. Too much spread on the gunner gun and rockets need a bit more oomph. 

In the whole Beta, as a foot soldier, I did not really feel any danger from the heli. Did not even look up as I knew it doesn't make any chance at all. That should not be the case.

Nah. I was pretty sick of vehicles flying around all map in 2042 like untouchable tanks. Maybe those people who do nothing but fly all map will think twice and play the objectives and do other things in Battlefield. Stingers SHOULD destroy aircraft. That's what they're designed for.

I don't know the real world parameters of the singer vs a jet at full speed, but I feel like a jet flying horizontal at full throttle plus afterburners should be able to out run a long distance stinger launch. There should be some skill involved, right now if feels like there is nothing you can do to avoid them. Especially given such tight map boarders for the jet. 

If the jets can outrun a stinger, not only is it a good skill check, the stinger works as a proper deterrent, keeping jets away for a moment while they scramble away.

That player is literally hard countering you. They are sacrificing their entire kit to hard focus you. They will get less xp, less kill etc but they are doing their job, keeping the skies clear. Best them at their own game😗, swap to a recon and snipe them until they swap 

That's how it works. Adapt and overcome. If the entire team has stingers to counter, you should swap. 🤷‍♀️

People trying to demand changes to the game that will stop THEM from dying, is so stupid. 

People need a way to counter some dude that flies overhead just spamming bombs all day.

Can't wait to blow you up with the surface-to-air missiles next beta weekend and in the final game.

I would prefer so see a unit have the disruption beacon to mess up the aim of the stingers (safe limited area). That way you'll need to cooperate with your team to not be shot down so easily, and lessen the enemy parachuting behind defensive lines on account of getting shot down quickly. 

There are a lot of way to handle  or dmg the tank but the stingers are the only way to handle the air units. The AA gun is a sitting duck, specially if the jet dive bombs which is what most try to do and since that gun is usually a back liner most players don't use it until the enemy is right on top of them which makes it a sitting duck. Snipers want to snipe so unless heli drivers can be sniped I think the stinger should stay as is

Ps. I do love driving the heli but 1 vehicle shouldn't overturn the entire game with no effective way to counter it. And the heli is a high dmg harraser if you use the terrain properly, as well as a fast moving deployment becon.
