Am I the only one?
I went into the BF6 beta hoping for a modern Battlefield experience, but honestly, it felt like DICE’s version of Call of Duty.
Zero balance in matches — it’s either your team is shredding or you’re getting shredded, with no middle ground or comeback potential.
Spawn killing is rampant — enemies can push deep into your spawn, and the spawn system doesn’t protect you. You often spawn right into gunfire.
“Large” maps feel tiny — instead of open sectors like BF1, the maps are cluttered with endless destroyable junk, choke points, and maze-like turns that slow you down without adding tactical depth.
Forced close-quarters combat — the clutter and layout funnel everyone into constant short-range engagements. No real variety in engagement distances.
CoD-style pacing — short TTK, chaotic flow, no room for team tactics, just fast and frantic.
This isn’t the large-scale, balanced Battlefield I loved. It’s a claustrophobic arcade shooter with destructible scenery.
Edit.
After reading some feedbacks I finally saw that I am not the only one. I switched to BF series from CoD because I hated everything I mentioned. 2047 or whatever the name was, forced me back to CoD. Been waiting for new BF with hopes, but to no avail it seems. Sad.
