Battlefield 6’s Speed Should Be Closer to Battlefield 4 Settings

Hello Battlefield Team,

As a long-time player accustomed to the speed, mechanics, and overall gameplay dynamics of Battlefield 4, I wanted to share my thoughts. The new Battlefield 6 feels extremely fast-paced, similar to some less realistic competitor games. Everything happens at lightning speed, and it makes it harder for many players to adapt.

Players like me prefer a more realistic combat experience. The player movement speed, the pace of the world, and the general gameplay flow should be more balanced, as in Battlefield 4.

Instead of constant jumping and covering large distances in seconds, we want soldier movements to feel weighty, with a more tactical pace and realistic speed. This would make gameplay more strategic and stay true to the series’ roots.

Battlefield’s true strength lies in realism and tactical warfare. Please keep that spirit alive.

  • Whoa  , check out the bar chart ,  shows exactly the opposite of the whiners about being too fast , compared to other BF versions.

    COD / Warzone is warp speed compared to this game RIGHT NOW.  I played the Beta , lots of fun.  Went to Warzone and the speed

  • Feel you in terms of speed but I think it more because of the map size, that played the biggest part on how the speed of the game went. i think this will settle out as we get into the bigger maps.

    RanzigeRidder2​ That's just flat running, it doesn't take into account changing directions, strafing and traversal and jumping. Jumping happens instantly when you press the space key, there should be a couple milliseconds delay to simulate a build up of momentum before jumping, which gives the character a nice weighty feel. And landing on your feet from any height should slow you down. Your character should ramp up to full sprint from a fall, not just hit the ground running. Also vaulting is way too fast, the character practically teleports through half walls instead of climbing over them. People climbing hillsides look like janky World War Z zombies.
