Battlefield 6 feedback/opinions

Dear EA / DICE Team,

I’ve been a long-time fan of the Battlefield series, having spent countless hours in Battlefield 2, 3, and 4. Unfortunately, Battlefield 6 feels like it has strayed too far from what made the franchise unique, and instead feels like it’s catering more toward Call of Duty players rather than the Battlefield community.

Weapon Attachment System
The point-based system for weapon attachments feels restrictive and doesn’t belong in Battlefield. In previous titles, if you unlocked an attachment, you could equip it without worrying about arbitrary point limits. The new system feels lifted straight out of Call of Duty and removes the freedom that Battlefield was known for.

Player Movement
Player movement is simply too fast. With the amount of gear a soldier is carrying, sprinting at this pace feels completely unrealistic for what is supposed to be a tactical, semi-mil-sim experience. Battlefield 3 nailed sprinting speed and sound perfectly—it was balanced and believable. Right now, players zip around the map at arcade-like speeds that don’t match the series’ roots.

Graphics and Presentation
Visually, the game leans toward a Call of Duty look rather than the distinct Battlefield feel. Previous entries had a more grounded, gritty aesthetic that set them apart.

Weapon Balance (LMGs & Tanks)
LMGs in Battlefield 6 feel underpowered, as if you’re firing a BB gun. These weapons should dominate in suppressive fire roles but currently fail to deliver. Similarly, tank weaponry feels far too weak. A .50 cal round from a tank should not take three or more hits to drop an enemy soldier, it breaks immersion and realism. The glint effect is overly bright and unrealistic, making sniping frustrating and unnatural. There should absolutely be a Hardcore mode available, as it’s been a staple for many fans who prefer more realism and higher stakes.  In short, Battlefield 6 feels like it’s trying to compete with Call of Duty instead of embracing what made Battlefield so beloved: large-scale battles, tactical pacing, realistic movement, impactful weapons, and freedom of choice. I hope the team considers re-aligning the game with its roots to restore the Battlefield identity.

Thank you for taking the time to read this feedback.

Sincerely,
A Battlefield Fan Since BF2
