BF6 feedback after 24 hours of gameplay

Played on Steam and PC (i5 12400f, RTX 4060, 32 GB DDR5 RAM)

Positives

  • Phenomenal audio design and nice graphics. First time booting the game and having jet flying over my head while we were under heavy fire was breathtaking
  • Destruction and debris
  • Overall atmosphere, helped by a fact that there are no clown class and weapon skins like in CoD, and I hope it stays like that!
  • Great gunplay
  • Optimization (altough CPU usage may be higher at times)

Negatives / What to improve

  • Slightly higher time to kill (about 10%)
  • Bigger recoil especially for close combat weapons like SMGs, I can somehow accept "laser" long range, slower firing weapons, but having laser for weapons at close to mid distance should not be a thing, or atleast there should be some drawbacks
  • Bigger maps, these we got are fine, but there should be a couple of bigger maps
  • Balancing of some weapons but that's to be expected
  • I can also see buffing the syringes in the assault class
  • More punishment for jump shooting and even slide shooting, encouraging players to not act like schyzo CoD player that jumps and slides every 2 seconds
  • Sensitivity of anti air turrets is too low

Bugs

  • Sometimes the game doesn't allow to quit to menu in lobby or even in the game
  • Some crazy visual bug happens once every 4-5 games
  • Invisible character during game, making aiming impossible
    • I also had invisible characters in post game lobby
  • Another weird visual bug happened in the firing range when aiming down sight, altough it was okay in-game. I needed to restart the game in order for it to stop showing (not even joining a game stopped it)

Overall I was having a lot of fun and I hope the devs keep listening to resonable battlefield fans and not people who don't understand the core identity of battlefield games. I can see myself pre-ordering the game if things go well and the devs keep communicating with us.

Very good job😀💌

  • Totally with you on the atmosphere. That first jet flyover with bullets whizzing past is pure Battlefield — and I agree, keeping the skins grounded is a big win for immersion. Gunplay feels great, but yeah, SMGs being laser beams at close/mid range takes away some of the challenge, and TTK tweaks could make fights more interesting.

Larger maps would be awesome too — we need some real sprawling battles to mix in with the smaller chaos. And you nailed it with the slide/jump-shot comment… anything to make the gameplay feel more tactical instead of non-stop arcade hopping is welcome in my book.

The bugs you mentioned are worth flagging — especially invisible characters and the menu lockouts. Hopefully DICE has those squashed before launch, because those can be game-breakers if they slip through.

All in all, it’s great to see positive feedback mixed with constructive ideas. If they keep listening to players like you, we might have something really special on our hands come October. 🙌
