Big map orientation should have North pointing up

It is insane that the big map does not have north pointing up, or even have it displayed somewhere that for example in the Liberation Peak Conquest, north is pointing downwards on the map.

There is an option to show the compass in HUD (I can't understand why it's OFF by default!) and also an option to have a fixed minimap, but what even is the point of using the fixed minimap if the mainmap is fixed in some awkward position? I understand that the map might be aesthetically more pleasing in some orientation, but for the sake of sanity, please add an option to have north pointing up in the big map.
