Class system in the beta feels like a mess

I've been playing the Bf6 beta for a good few hours and i'm pretty disappointed in the way they have currently shown their class system. They seem to go down the same terrible road of 2042.

Why can't they just stick with the classic system that works?

I don't want a pretty much useless assault or an all in one support player. Or being able to take a sniper as a support and a lmg as a recon.

I'd much more prefer them to stick to the classic bf3/bf4 class style. You have your signature weapons and can switch to a carbine, dmr or shotgun and thats it.

-Medic for health, reviving players and having a grenade launcher with frag and smoke options. Maybe even the old underbarrel shotgun. I'd be cool with them getting rid of squad revives aswell, sure them can be fun when you play with friends and the dragging is cool. But some matches don't seem to move forward because everyone can revive their squad.

-Engineer for repairing, rocket launchers, AT mines and the cool repair robot.

-Support for ammo, C4/ claymores and a mortar to play around with.

-recon for the spawn beacon, tugs/motion sensors, C4 and the MAV to scout with

And offcourse them all having their own respected weapons that belong to their class. Something like we had in Bf3 or 4. Not to forget the same style gun modifications and not the 2042 recycled fk up they're trying to reuse.

Thats all i want in a battlefield game. The way it currently is with open weapons and half thought out classes takes a part of the battlefield magic away imo.

Stick with the classic. Don't try to improve what works!

  • You do realize they have both open and closed weapon classes right ?

If you want to play with class restrictions, you can.

An nice change/addition would be more recognisible classes on the field.

The current models look like eachother especially the non nato. It would be nice to be able to see what class they are based on their character. I know EA won't do this because of their addiction of selling skins etc, but it would be a welcomed change.

  • nobody played the support class in bf3 and 4, and ammo was impossible to find. give ammo pack to assault instead of medic tools and they have a role to fill in the squad alongside the support class which can heal and revive

Bro idk what bf3 and 4 you have played but there always have been a significant support group in matches. When requesting ammo, i've always ended up with more then 1 player dropping it. Even till this day there are plenty of old servers still online with a great amount of support players.

Must say that it died out in bf1 and 5 when started switching stuff tho.

But giving it to an assault class which has been unpopular for a good bit now won't save it or change things for the good. Assaults are basicly suicide players. That's why i want them to stick to the old system, because that actually worked.

Man this is a complete lie and bad idea at the same time.
