Feedback on BF6 (Thoughts from a Longtime BF3/BF4 Player)

First, I must say I started playing Battlefield with Bad Company 2, turned into a big fan in Battlefield 3, and I’m really enjoying the Battlefield 6 beta. However, I feel it has even greater potential, so here’s my list of things I think need improvement from the BF6 beta.

BF6 Improvements
General
- TTK feels off, sometimes dying in a single frame, something related to the time to die, I've noticed health bar not decreasing when taking shots.
- Game pace, maps, movement and and combat feels maybe a bit too fast.
- The Scope Glint is way too Big.
- Light adaptation can severely hurt visibility, and other visibility issues are present too.
- Footsteps are hard to hear sometimes.
- Spotting/Pinging needs adjustment, sometimes too generous, sometimes difficult to use.
- Movement feels overly fast-paced with excessive sliding, jumping, and bunny-hopping. (Don't get me wrong i like movement options, but i don't want someone bunny hopping trough the map)
- UI feels cluttered, too many icons, indicators, and scores on screen at all times.
- I Don't like the UI score on the top of the screen, it takes way too much space.
- Many players give up instead of waiting for a revive because respawning is faster. Revives should generally be quicker, and maybe disabling the option to give up and stay less time on the ground waiting for a revive is just a suggestion, though.
- Main menu UI feels too similar to Call of Duty, I personally find it confusing and miss the classic Battlefield UI. Also.
- Bring back the server browser and i would really like persistent lobbies.
- Allow players to join matches with more friends and even play against them.
- Passive health regen is too strong and too fast.
- General feel of Destruction still feels like they do not hit the other Battlefield peak, yeah i like the rubble and default destruction animation of the props but i miss the almost sandbox like destruction of other Battlefield titles.
- No Material Difference for destruction, bullets and explosions "dealing damage the same way", also seems like just health bars and default destruction animation.
- (Suggestion) Bullets could go trough some materials, this is just a suggestion (but would need a wide range of balancing)
- Only these two factions? I feel like there’s missed potential here.

Weapons and Classes
- Assault class having dual primaries feels too weird (dual primaries don’t fit Battlefield).
- Shotguns feel overtuned.
- Sniper sweet-spot one shot body kills can be frustrating.
- Recon TUGS motion sensor is too hard to see and almost no one destroys them.
- Engineer having double launchers and too many rockets is insanely strong.
- Excessive weapon sway when aiming and shooting.
- RPG, C4 and grenades explosive splash damage feels too low.
- Suppression feels ineffective.
- Holo Sights and Red Dots look like flat 2D images.
- Revive system needs improvement, especially with the defibrillator.
- (Personal preference) I Don't like at all the limited attachments.
- Gadget reload speed could be faster
- Low headshot damage? (specially on the DMR, not being rewarded for Head shots)

Vehicles
- Aircraft and helicopter physics feel too floaty, i don't really know how to say it.
- Aircraft and helicopters feel too weak, low armor (not even tanking bullets), low damage, and too easy to kill.
- Vehicles in general feel too heavy, with overly limited movement.
- Vehicle damage feedback could be clearer.

Maps
- Liberation Peak is overly dominated by snipers, and one team has clear advantage.
- Iberian Offensive and Siege of Cairo doesn’t feel like Battlefield, has invincible bushes, many closed buildings, and restricted movement. Only one beta map truly feels like Battlefield.
- Improve access to rooftops and interiors. Current maps feel overly clustered, with too many choke points and closed spaces (might just be due to the limited beta maps).
- (Personal preference) I would like to see even more destruction, even in smaller maps, like entire buildings collapsing.
- Invincible objects and impenetrable surfaces are frustrating.
- Playing the same maps in loop, even ones i don't want to play.
- Almost No Landscape Deformation. (more noticeable in bigger maps)
- Almost no real interaction with the props and scenery objects. (like extinguishers and cars, just basic destruction animation, no extinguisher improvised smoke, no car alarm, no electricity failure or light popping)

Bugs
- When ADS when you walk in a object like a stone on the ground you can be sent flying from the physics
- Vehicle Repair not working in specific places
- Falling out of the map and getting stuck out of it
- Second Person Camera when revived
- Some times we can't change attachments after we level up
- Takedown not always working
- General Performance can be better for some systems
- Some Crashes
- Could not Print my Screen

(Maybe some of this things were already solved, sorry, i just copied the post I've written in steam discussions.)

An update after the end of the Beta: I feel like my biggest issue with the game right now is that the four maps in the Beta don’t really feel like Battlefield. Liberation Peak is somewhat good, but it’s so small, with so many limitations, you walk just a few meters outside the flag and you’re already out of bounds. You can’t even go into the mountains. Most of the maps have almost no verticality or open spaces. It feels like they listened too much to COD and other games player bases. About 90% of the gunfights are just straight-line shootouts. I really miss the map design from Battlefield 3 and 4.

Maps like Cairo and Iberian Offensive have so many invisible wall–blocked areas, and they’re also really small. I did find that Empire State and Cairo have some fun high spots where you can shoot people from above, but they almost feel like exploits. Honestly, I almost feel bad for using them (mainly the Cairo one), like they weren’t even meant to be accessible, Cairo probably wasn't to be fair. And that’s the thing, it doesn’t feel like Battlefield. Those spots should probably be part of the map design instead of something the devs are trying to remove.

That being said, I still enjoyed playing, but it feels like once again it misses the mark for Battlefield players.

I think that’s it, guys, that’s my feedback on the things I’d like to see improved. I must say, I really enjoyed my time playing this beta and I’m excited to play the full game.

There are many positive aspects as well, here I’m just listing the negatives. The game also has a lot of great things, like the visuals, the design, iconic Battlefield moments, ragdolls, destruction, overall solid gameplay, new mechanics, improved and flexible movement, satisfying gunplay, audio, the drag and revive mechanic, and great potential overall.

What do you guys think?

Heavily agree with almost all points here. Destruction feels off. Entire walls of buildings crumble instead of it coming down piece by piece. Why does a rocket not blow a hole in the building? Why do two rockets bring the whole wall down?!

Some areas have micro destruction, which is great, while others only fall apart entirely after enough damage was sustained. It also sucks that most of the destruction is done with by the first few minutes of the round due to this.

I also hate the static objects in some of these maps. Empire State feels like a slightly larger COD map due to this. You're telling me construction cones don't move from rockets or grenades? Please.

Verticality needs to be improved. Why can we only go two stories up in ANY building? Just because it goes against the 3 lane balance?
