I have to say, I’m quite disappointed with Battlefield 6 this time.

Let’s start with the positives:
the maps do feel more like real battlefields, with rubble, intense firefights, destructible buildings, and so on.
In this regard, it’s better than Battlefield 2042 and Battlefield V, and this is exactly what the Battlefield series needs.

But what’s going on with these tiny maps?
Breakthrough mode only has 48 players now?
Is this supposed to be copying Call of Duty?
You’re making Battlefield, not Call of Duty.

Battlefield should be about infantry working together with tanks and aircraft,
fighting in an all-out war—just like the brilliant Battlefield 1.
I can understand having some infantry-focused maps,
like Verdun Heights or Fort de Vaux in Battlefield 1,
but the four maps in the current BF6 test all feel extremely cramped.

I feel like the Battlefield series has now abandoned large-scale warfare,
lost its unique identity, and is completely drifting toward a Call of Duty style.
That’s very disappointing.

I pre-ordered the game,
but I’m already planning to refund it.
I’ll only consider buying it again if I see enough thrilling, large-scale battles.
If you’re determined to make a Call of Duty-style game,
then why should I even buy Battlefield 6 in the first place?
