My Battlefield 6 Beta feedback

I've enjoyed Battlefield since BC2 on consoles (Playstation), didn't really play I and V as I'm not keen on the older wars aesthetics. Didn't like the hero options on Battlefield 2042, although I did go back and enjoy some of the changes made to it after the fact. That said, here are my key takes from the Battlefield 6 beta test.

Cons -

-Liberation peak needs adjusting, attacking from West to East can feel overwhelmingly difficult if the attackers take C and set up like 6 snipers on the hill pointing straight into the West base (assuming West - left on the map!)

-Compass! Either I'm blind or there wasn't one. Makes relaying information to squad members really difficult about where targets are. Perhaps this is intentional but I feel like we used to have one? If we did can we have it back please!

-Why do tanks do absolutely nothing to infantry? Gunner seat seems good, but main cannon, it feels like you can't even get suppressing fire assists, you're just looking for other tanks or blowing holes in walls.

-Speaking of tanks - impossible to kill with RPGS, I feel like they should be a bit stronger against them.

-This could just be due to the small rotation of maps but I didn't even notice the helicopters/air support during the playtime - occasionally saw them flutter past overhead but honestly never really paid any attention to them. Think I died to a helicopter once. I don't want the air support absolutely dominating again but at least let me worry about them!

-People spawn camping tanks - I think it would be useful to include a timer so people who spawn immediately on a vehicle such as a tank or LAV aren't able to do so again immediately - maybe a penalty timer on them so they have to wait 10 seconds or so after it spawns before they can spawn in it again, give other people a chance to use them. Some maps it was impossible to get into tanks or LAVs because tankcamper_420 has been sitting waiting for it and hitting it immediately as soon as it's back up again just to go throw himself into an RPG.

-Definitely had a few kill cams where people who shot me are behind walls/rocks :(

-splash damage seems... off? Like I fully expect to die when the tank I'm repairing blows up in front of me but that never happened, also several buildings toppled on me which didn't cause any deaths - likewise I feel like me topppling buildings on people it should be killing them.

Another mild thing for me - the shouting of the soldiers, I remember in older games amusing phrases like "we're getting our **bleep** pushed back in here!" being screamed out by soldiers - this seems to be missing, absolutely nothing memorable to stand out in terms of when you attack/defend. Wouldn't mind some of that again!

Pros

-Absolutely loved the "feel" of the game - most of the games I played were absolute carnage and so much fun. I personally love the maps we've played (with the exception of how Liberation Peak can end up feeling).

-Love the classes. Still some balancing issues which will hopefully be addressed but overall love this system and glad to see its back.

-Rush I felt was really good fun - I'm not sure about the changes to the MCOMS, I personally hadn't realised the timer chargers were different until it was mentioned. I think 30 seconds is sufficient to disarm it personally and have been able to do so - definitely makes it feel chaotic, in a good way.

-Building destruction looks absolutely fantastic and I love how it works -just need to add actual damage in for people who have a building toppled on them!

I'm not commenting on the class gun situation as it doesn't really bother me - I used the LMG on support, switched to an assault rifle for recon so I felt like I could run around and contribute, and might have stuck with the defaault guns on the other classes, not sure. I'm sure the guns do need balancing and tweaks but I'll leave that to people who can actually remember the names of the guns and don't just cycle through them until they find one they don't miss with :)

Overall I'm really looking forward to the full release, definitely feels like a return to form - roll on October!
