My BF6 Beta feedback/notes

History, I'm a Bad Company, BF3/4 veteran. I played those games a lot. I've also played many other shooters as well, of course. But the chaos of BF has always been something special IMO. These are my notes/feedback from playing both weekends of the beta, in no particular order, just as I have them written down.

1. Give us a legit server browser. I don't mind waiting, and would actually prefer to wait if it meant playing the map/mode that I want to play at the time. I want to see and select a server like "24/7 OPERATION FIRESTORM | CONQUEST/RUSH | NA WEST" 

2.  Needs an official hardcore mode like previous games. This would fix quite a few complaints I have seen many other people have and I share as well. people are too spongy/TTK, remove passive healing, remove HUD elements like diamonds above ppls heads, orange dot of grenades, remove the mini map, etc. You get the idea.

3. Closed weapon classes. It shouldn't really be much of a discussion. Classes should have a limit choice of weapons types that make sense for the classes intended purpose.

4. Needs some larger maps. I assume they already have a few made and just wanted to use the smaller ones for the beta, but who knows. Also would love a remaster of operation metro as well, that map was gold.

5.  Shotguns currently seem overpowered. Yet I had one specific event, I can only assume some sort of bug, where I point-blank shot an enemy in the chest multiple times who was reviving a fallen teammate and he didn't die. I'll try to attach a clip of it.

6. Menus all around seem very clunky and needlessly complex with far too many clicks to get to what you need. For example, to customize a weapon, click on the weapon, click customize, then you need to click modify. WTF? why?

7. Let us change/modify loadouts between matches

8. Give us a physical flag lowering/raising during the capture of a zone in conquest. I always like that feature in previous games.

9. Quite often I had issues with deployment. Sometimes hitting space to deploy would do absolutely nothing, requiring me to move the mouse over and click the UI button instead. Rather annoying. 

As well as the snapping to different people or spawn points was too aggressive. Making it difficult to choose who I actually wanted to spawn on. It would snap to a person that I am unable to spawn on, due to being in combat, yet not allow me to select the spawn beacon right next to them that I actually could have spawned on.

10. Classes shouldn't have 2 gadgets. Make people make a hard choice. I love playing as an engineer, but having both RPG's and SAM's is too much gear and power. Same with assault have a rifle, shotgun and grenade launcher. Just get rid of one gadget.

11. Exiting the Tank/IFV always seemed to kick me out to the worst side of the vehicle. It would make sense to exit where the door is, usually the backside, not the front of it, or where I am currently looking.

12. RPG damage to infantry/splash damage is underpowered. If I hit someone center of mass with an rpg it should kill them, whether or not it has been armed; those things are fast as hell. This is probably just a minor balancing of damage values.

13. Sniper glint needs balancing; currently, it's too much. Either tone it down or limit it to only when the sniper is looking within x number of degrees of you and is actually out in the sun. If they are hiding in a dark building, then they shouldn't have and glint.

14. Mouse vs Controller recoil/bullet spread. I cannot understand why the amount of recoil and/or bullet spread varies dependant upon your input method. I understand having aim assist to an extent with controllers but changing the amount of recoil seems wrong. If you don't know, check out jack frags recent video he explains it fairly well.

15. I would get some weird graphical glitches with a bunch of flashing triangles centering around the crosshairs from time to time. No idea what causes it, but I'm guessing it a relatively simple glitch to fix. See one of my attached videos. 

And by no means do I think this game sucks, despite the long list, I had a blast playing the 2 weekends. It finally feels like battlefield is back.
