My honest feedback about Battlefield 6...
As a Battlefield 3 veteran (12 years of Battlefield experience)... Battlefield 6 is exactly what I wanted 2042 to be. It's the best mix of the best features of all battlefield games, it's the evolution of technology and it's the peak experience for both a veteran and a newbie. It is the love letter we were waiting for.
When I first heard about Zampella being the lead of the project, I felt an instant relief. He never failed a single time. He saved the franchise and managed to give us the next big battlefield game, that one game that will be played for years and years.
It is not perfect, but its flaws aren't as bad.
I love every **bleep** aspect of the game. The weapons finally feel like actual weapons. The graphic recoil, the sound design.. lovely. Destroying stuff is better than ever, suppression is finally back, first person melee animations are sweet.
Everything they messed up on the latest releases, they promised to fix them and give us the perfect battlefield.
To be fair, there are some things I didn't really like (after 15 hours of gameplay):
- sweetspot mechanic being reintroduced on sniper rifles
- running faster with the knife
- amount of rpg ammo is too much
- damage dealt from grenade launchers and rpgs against infantry is too much
- Shotguns being broken and inconsistent (dealing more damage in a further distance than a closer one)
- The arcade-ish style of showing "double kill" titles etc feels a bit off, I would like a setting that allows me to turn if off
Next points instead are some improvements that can be made:
- the grenade turning orange (just like I bf3) is a great idea. The problem is: back in bf3, there only were frag grenades. This time, there also are non-lethal grenades. It would be useful to differentiate them (just like I bf4, where they had different icons)
I will keep adding points as soon as I remember.
But let's be honest: this is fine. BF6 is great. Thank you so much for building the best battlefield ever.
This is the greatest experience you could deliver us after 2042.
