NEED HARDCORE MODE

Ok I’m all about realism, every person takes 8 shots even if it’s 7.62 anywhere besides the head. Everyone can practically get revived so the dude you just killed gets right back up and the radar ping is just pathetic. I get ur trying to appeal to COD and Fortnite losers but what the actual **bleep**. Come out with a hardcore mode or reduce how many times a soldier can get shot and not everyone is able to get revived. You might just have a good game on your hands. Battlefield is its own category of realism, stick to that and don’t cater to the COD and Fortnite players. Take off radar the fact you can see where everyone is all the time is a cod feature.

  • I agree. The mini map showing every soldier makes this really bad. Hardcore is good for slowing the game down, having to recon where your enemy is, and conserving shots.

I feel like the semi automatic vs automatic gameplay needs to be addressed here too. How can you empty a clip across the small maps we have so accurately with little to no spread?

For revives, maybe have shots to the chest limited and if head shot’d then no revive. Any small movement would be helpful in a downed state too. It’s like BFV where it’s a hindrance to gameplay and a needless skip vs a challenge to get out of. To the enemy you’re dead looking, but to you, you’re reaching around and looking for help.

If I saw someone still in a downed or crawling state I might just know there’s still a threat potentially there.

  • dice should embrace war crimes and let us finish off the enemy.

Battlefield has always been on the shallow end of the mil sim pool, but the current gameplay mechanics such as auto spotting, no suppressive fire ect have placed it nearer the kiddy pool than its ever been.  some of the teamwork aspects, communication isn't as crucial as it was previously and it favors lone wolf players. A hardcore mode would definitely bring the teamwork back into focus for sure

Battlefield is not a simulator, thus the core experience is balanced to be fun and accessible. Radar and such has long since been a feature of battlefield and it’s not going anywhere. (This is not to say I don’t think many elements shouldn’t be toned down)

But I’ve got good news, there are always hardcore servers on Battlefield after release and with Portal we can hope to see custom experiences that cater to different tastes.

No just no! The game is perfect how it is. Stop trying to change Battlefield. This is old school Battlefield and this what we wanted nothing else. No more changes this the game we wanted. You all now trying to ruin our game with Ranked game modes and hardcore now. No changes this is old school Battlefield.
