Open Beta Feedback / Master List

This is meant to be a consolidated list where everyone can give their input.  Please add to my list in your replies or even fight me with your own lists, whether you agree or disagree.  This thread is meant to make it easier for EA to find feedback.  Thank you!

The Good:

1.) Smooth Gameplay.  Movement and Graphics were set to Ultra at 1440P with a Ryzen 7600x and a RTX 7800XT GPU and 32 gig of DDR 5 Ram.  No issues.

2.)  Feels like Battlefield.  Ive been playing since BF 1942....yes Im old.   This is the first Battlefield since BF1, BF4 and BF2 that I got that old Battlefield feeling again without a lot of political distractions, streamer bait features or nonsensical additions drawing me away from the game.  Thats good.  Very good.

3.) I cant believe I played a BETA and had that few of bugs or glitches.  I was expecting a lot more issues that I actually had.

4.) Lots of options with graphics and audio and not a bunch of nonsensical stuff like in BF2042 which had some feature that quite frankly, a lot of people didnt even understand.  

5.) Building destruction was good to see again and made sense in a lot of places.

6.) Audio was AMAZING.  So immersive and good and having War Tapes as an option really did it for me.  Loved it!

7.) Back to basics with roles.  Thank GOD you got rid of the stupid specialists.  That was soooooo bad I dont even know where to begin with that.  Watching Sundance literally defy gravity and the laws of physics made that game a joke.  I couldnt take is seriously watching her literally fly from one storage container to another only 15 feet away, while only 10 feet off the ground...it was so bad it made me laugh at times.   Good to see the old classes back.

The Bad:

1.) Bro, the TTK with automatic weapons is just dumb.  I get it if you are 1-10 feet away, but lasering people from 100m away on fully automatic fire is just stupid.  Not to mention completely unrealistic.  Please do turn this into COD.  For God sake dont do it.  There are literally weapons in game that have virtually NO recoil.  How is that a thing?  Even if you are control burst firing, you cant drill targets at distance like that with full auto weapons.  Please, for the love of puppies, fix this.  Its so annoying its not even funny and kills immersion and fun gameplay with someone winning a gun fight with me as a sniper and long distance and I get a train of bullets hitting me all at once from some assault weapons or SMG.  Its just stupid.

2.) DMRs are worthless.  On the flip side of the recoil problem, you take DMRs which are supposed to be medium to long distance weapons and give them so much recoil, you cant use em!  Im even having to shoot someone 3 TIMES WITH HEAD SHOTS to kill them?!?!  The EMR Rifle which is your introduction to DMRs in the game, takes 3 shots to the body....but also 3 to the head?!?!  That makes zero sense.  Not to mention the recoil is so bad, that I cant get the 3rd shot off before im dead, out past 100m from a assault rife on full auto??!?!   How is that supposed be fair even balanced?   I dont know what bias some of your devs over there have against DRMs, but as it stands, no one is using them.  They are that bad.  It should be 2 shots to the head or 3 to the body and the recoil needs to be reduced at a MINIMUM by 50%.  Its that bad.  The perfect balance of accuracy and recoil was the MK11 MOD 0 in BF4.  FIX THIS!

3.)  RPGs are not powerful enough or engineer repairs needs to be nerfed.   Im using ALL of my RPGs on a Tank or any IFV and it is still not at half health and then goes right back up to full in seconds.  This is gonna be a problem.  Soon you will have clans, stacking engineers on vehicles and then they will be invincible.  Either RPG damage needs to go up or the speed at which Engineers repair a vehicle needs to be nerfed.

4.) Explosion splash damage for C4 and RPGs is off.  Im thrown C4 right next to people or groups of people and NO ONE DIES.  Thats not right.  I shoot and RPG into a players face or chest and he has others players right next to him, none of them die, only the guy i hit directly dies.....this is an RPG, anyone within a 3m circle should dead from where that rocket hits.   Im hitting walls and doors and cover where people are hiding and nothing.   I should not have to directly hit a player to kill them with an RPG or C4.

5.) Assault being able to carry a primary weapon AND a shotgun should not be a thing.  That was just a bad decision, period.  You either carry a primary and pistol or a shotgun with pistol....in no sane world should assault be carrying a fully auto rifle, a shotgun and pistol.  Come one guys.  Seriously?

6.) Sniper glint isnt just glint, its literally a micro nuclear explosion on the screen.  Who decided this was a good idea?  This is the most insane and ridiculous scope glint I have ever seen in any combat game.  I personally think there shouldnt be ANY glint given how easy spotting is in this game but this?!?!  Youve got to tone that down, its is waaaaaaaay over done.

7.) Maps feel a little small for 64 man with choppers and jets.  Im not a pilot but I can imagine these starter maps are too small to really be an effective pilot.

Wish List!

1.) Operation Locker.  Bring it back.  Make your own, new version but bring it back.....

2.) Easter eggs and hidden quests....once again, like in BF4.....bring it back.

Thats all I got right now.  Please, reply and add anything you think I missed or simply comment on whether you agree or disagree....this is an open forum for the Devs to get info and feedback.

    1. PARTY SIZE: This needs to increase from 4 to at least 6 and ideally a max of 8. You are a victim of your own success. I have more friends playing this one game at one time than anything in over a decade. However we can’t play the same game with each other due to the party limit and the lack of a server browser. This needs fixing. As people will drop off quick if they can’t play with friends in groups. Splitting a party to other squads is fine as very few people use in game comms anyway. Please update or implement a feature to allow larger groups to play together in the same game. This is my largest complaint and concern with the game. 
    2. SHOTGUN: I know everyone knows. Needs a tune. 
    3. EXITING VEHICLES: Right now you have to look the direction you want to exit the vehicle on. Please change this to simply exiting at the door. If you’re in the tank you should go out the back. Period. If you’re in a car go out the door you sitting at. Please. 
    4. BULLET BLOOM: This needs a serious calibration. Just less of it. You can compensate by adding visual recoil. But we need less extreme randomness of where our bullets will go. 
    5. RPGs & OTHER: The RPG in particular needs more lethality in proximity. So many times I fire into a building or right next to someone and they live. It’s needs a bit more kick. Same with C-4. 
    6. MAPS: Some maps need tuning. More flank points. Point C on Liberation Peak is the best example. 
    7. SCOPE GLINT: Needs to be toned down a bit. I know this was already agreed upon by devs. 
    8. SHOOTING RANGE: Please allow us to use the settings menu and gun customization in the shooting range. It’s far too inconvenient to back out every time to make a change. 

     

    1. BUILDINGS: More access to roofs and more destruction options overall would be great.

     

    1. VISIBILITY: There is some room for improvement with visibility. Right now it’s hard to see enemies in general and definitely at a distance. This is further increased when indoors. Everything outside is washed out. I know this is a cinematic effect but it can be dialed back some.

    Feedback: Overall this is a great great foundation and game. There are only a few issues/feedback that I wanted to give in the thousands of other posts here. 

    1. Grenade throws, animations, and overall look of the grenade feels off. The throwing animation, the look of the orange ball going through the air just does not feel right. In my opinion, a grenade should feel weighty and this one doesn't. The orange icon also doesn't feel right for some reason. Maybe putting it right above the grenade would make it work? It kind of makes me sad that I can't see the enemy grenade bounce into a room, its just an orange ball flying in.
    2. We need persistent servers. It is frustrating to play breakthrough and play the same map as defenders twice or three times in a row. I know we can stay with squad, but most people don't do it so its tough to be able to make a community. I know that portal will have a server browser, and the main multiplayer doesn't necessarily have to have a server browser, but in my opinion, servers must be persistent. I have played over 100 hours in 2042, and this was one of the major issues I had with that game. I would like to see BF6 have persistent servers, this encourages community as well as helps low population regions be able to thrive. 
    3. Of the maps that were available on breakthrough, Liberation peak was phenomenal. However, the first sector is very tough. Its a meat grinder (not a bad thing) but it bleeds tickets no matter what. I think giving more tickets on sector wins to attackers or making this first area easier to capture will help the experience of breakthrough on this map.
    4. Locked vs Unlocked Weapons. I think that BF studios needs to make a decision here. While I do support locked weapons for classes, having both available in the main multiplayer experience will split the player base and it makes me feel that BF Studios doesn't have a specific vision for the game. 
    5. I think the scoreboard needs to be either customizable, or we should be able to see revives on the scoreboard. Overall on the scoreboard, I would like to see Player Rank, Player Rank Emblem, Player Name, Kills, Deaths, Assists, Revives, and Captures. This would help all players, new and old, understand where their team is helping and what certain areas of the team needs more assistance. (I.E need more medics because my team doesn't have anyone reviving)
