Open Beta Feedback

Hi, I will keep it short and on point. I wanted to give a feedback on the BF6 experience.

Overall rating: 8/10

Huge kudos for having such large scale and overall very stable experience during the beta. That is not an easy task to accomplish. I have experienced few crashes or "freezes" after match ended, but nothing that would directly affect my gameplay in the match.

Few remarks:
🚁 The attack chopper is not agile enough (far away from what I remember from BF3 & BF4). The handling of the attack helicopter felt more like the Transport chopper from the old days. Also it feels pretty fragile. I am not sure if single shot from a Stinger should take it down as it is quite easy to lock on and fire the missile from the ground the chopper has very little counter measures when it also needs to deal with jets around. On the other hand I liked that you can do some damage to it from the guns. IMHO RPG or Tank shot should still be an instant kill there.

⌚TTD felt somehow pretty unfair. In many occasions I got "one shot" by an enemy behind my back, but it appeared on my end to be a single shot. Basically I was running around and then lying on my back while the GUI shown 4+ shots that did some damage to me.

🗺️ Maps were great, but I would like to see a bit more cover for infantry on the Liberation Peak as it was quite hard to move around and not being constantly shot by snipers in the distance. Especially between the [D] & [E] and [E] and [F] flag outposts in the Conquest. Also moving around in a vehicle on other maps was a bit difficult as the alleys were pretty tight which just got worse over the time of a match as the streets were covered by debris from blown up vehicles.

🔫 Open vs Closed weapons I didn't mind either. I think both options have it's benefits. I would even say the Open version is more versatile as the class is more defined by a signature gadget more than by a weapon of choice.

🪖 Classes seems to be pretty balanced, but I missed the point of an Assault class. Which didn't make much sense to me. Maybe I missed the point there, but the adrenaline felt a bit less powerful than the other signature gadgets. In many cases I just went for CQB recon with Carbine because TUG and UAV was way more useful on the battlefield. I do think that adding the class a few more grenades and also moving a spawn beacon from Recon to the Assault might give the class more meaning. Also whenever the Assault carry 2 primary weapons the sidearm has very little chance to be used, not sure about that, but I haven't seen a use-case for my sidearm when I was able to pull a shotgun instead. I would also consider adding the C4 to the assault or engineer as it make a bit less sense to me on Recon.

✨ Shotgun was so OP on close and mid range. I would say that it should be still sort of one shot kill to upper body up close, but for sure not at mid range where it felt not fair. So I would recommend to increase the damage drop over distance.

🔎 Lack of server browser is huge downgrade. I really miss this feature, I had some favorite servers in BF3 & BF4 which I regularly joined. I do like a variety it offers for me to choose from and also kind of allow to create a community around a specific server. The Quick Play option is always nice to have for the times where I don't want to bother around and select a specific server as I just want to play.

🖼️ UI is not super intuitive, I was having somehow hard time to get into the weapon customization screen vs selecting a weapon. The difference in stats for a weapon or attachment show only when you use keyboard not by hovering over with mouse. And the settings is super packed and feels totally randomly ordered so it was super hard to find some options that I found out only watching YT creators (e.g. the player ping stats on a scoreboard - IMHO should be also ON by default)

Overall very good impression and I do hope the final release will receive some polish over the course of next weeks and months. I am very keen on giving it a try once it launch, but I would like to see some more improvements to give us back the core warfare experience we had in BF3.

🔊 P.S. The sound is awesome I have no remarks to this other than it was just amazing.
