I have to throw my two cents into this, I disagree with creating meat grinder maps. I would like to see how rush plays out on some of the larger maps too but stalled front lines is not as fun when you're just throwing tickets against a brick wall. It's frustrating when it feels like nobody's getting anywhere.
I will say I really liked the older games bringing out areas of maps you wouldn't get to see during conquest, Damavand peak comes to mind with the great environmental variety you experience across the sectors as well as the awesome base jump. I think 24-32 players feels right in rush as it is and community servers can bump it up as they want. Breakthrough does suit higher player counts better. I think moving the mcoms around would be worthwhile to try out, it would be really cool if portal lets the community move them.
