I agree, the sniper glint is way over the top. It's beta so I wouldn't worry too much, they'll probably fix it.
I think if snipers were balanced differently, they could leave it at a very slight scope glint. Like slower rate of fire, single bolt action, but one shot from the chest up. Then stealth and surprise would be essential rather than jumping around a corner.
