“Limited time” game modes that are popular. VL- 7 Contaminated

F1sherOrigin​  yeah nah.  DICE did this same mind boggling BS in 2042 and then never brought back the game modes. Game modes that were insanely popular.

For example,  2042 Featured the Iwo Jima map redux w 64 player - Conquest 24/7 servers. It’s by far the MOST fun I ever had in 2042 and you could find a full servers of humans in this featured game mode 24/7. Then for absolutely no effing reason DICE yanked this extremely popular game mode and it never returned. After that it was back to mostly empty servers full of bots and 3 to 4 humans per team in 128 player Iwo Jima only. 

"Limited-time" game modes are a silly system designed to test the developers' new ideas for diversifying the original gameplay.

The problem is that in Battlefield 6 itself, there are very few basic game modes, even compared to the previous titles in the series - Battlefield 3 or 4, it is definitely not enough.

This, at least for me, irritates me to see anything time-limited in a game with such little core content.

Well, because they want to check if people actually liked it. If people did - and I'm sure they did - DICE will get it back. Limited time winter mode, for example, was pretty stupid (the one with freezing mechanics), so it didn't return. But as for Contaminated, it will.
