Absolutely ZERO justification to have mortars spotted in 3D.

Have the current Devs and Producers of BF6  ever played BF4 or BF1? Other than an obligatory match or two to see the basic aspects of the game and UI??

Do the Devs and Producers even know that mortars exist in BF4 and BF1?

They’ve obviously never used mortars in an actual match in either game or they’d know tha there’s no plausible, logical reason to have mortars spotted in 3D for the entire enemy team to see.

The Mortar in BF6 is already extremely difficult and unintuitive to aim because the X and Y axis don’t match the X and Y controller settings. Why exactly is this the case DICE?? Not to mention the fact that there’s no way to remap the controller for aiming mortars.  Add to all that the fact that  well, the mortar in BF6 is just bad compared to mortars in previous titles.

Mortars in previous BF games have their roles and aren’t overpowered or game breaking. Obviously! The two previous BF games that had mortars  were more positively received by gamers  than BFV or 2042.

Mortars in BF4 and BF1 are spotted on the minimap ONLY when you fire the mortar which gives the other team the plenty of opportunity to counter the mortar with aircraft or mortars of their own.

In BF6 there is absolutely no reason anyone in their right mind would want to ask to die really fast by using the mortar and being spotted through mountains via 3D spotting . Honestly this is one of the most puzzling and worst design choices I’ve seen in almost 20 years of Battlefield.

In what universe is permanent 3D spotting of mortars while deployed  justified or warranted? This design choice was made by a team or individual that has/have NEVER, EVER used mortars in a BF4 or BF1 match.
