Accessibility Tools (Eye Tracker, ReWASD, Adaptive Controllers)
Hey everyone,
I’m really excited about Battlefield 6 — it’s the first game in the series since Bad Company 2 that genuinely makes me want to come back. That game was a big part of my youth, and it’s great to finally feel that spark again.
Unfortunately, a neurological condition I developed over the years now prevents me from using my fingers. So traditional controls like mouse, keyboard, or regular gamepads just aren’t an option for me anymore.
To play games, I use a combination of:
- Tobii eye-tracker for camera movement and simple actions
- Sony Access Controller and Xbox Adaptive Controller, both heavily customized
- ReWASD, a third-party input remapping tool that helps translate all of that into mouse and keyboard inputs
I trigger most of my actions by pressing large buttons with my fist or forearm, and ReWASD helps map those to in-game controls like movement, aiming, and firing.
Now here’s my question:
Has anyone tried using ReWASD or a similar setup in previous Battlefield titles without getting flagged or banned?
And does anyone know if BF6’s multiplayer will allow this kind of adaptive control setup?
Just to be super clear:
- I’m not using macros, scripts, or anything that would give me a gameplay advantage
- This setup is strictly about accessibility – it's the only way I can even play
I’d love to hear from anyone with experience, especially if you’ve used tools like ReWASD or adaptive controllers in Battlefield 2042 or earlier.
Thanks in advance – really hoping I can join the fight again this time.
