And yet controller users will tell you the aim assist is awful and doesn't help...
The truth is though MnK is still generally better controller aiming aids give situational advantage. MnK has better snap-to-target of course, but aim assist (and rotational slowdown, recoil reduction, etc) sees controller users 'seeing' enemies without seeing them and 'locking on' for every bullet once engaged.
Either way the point is controller and MnK cannot be balanced without artificial aids that, if used on a PC would get you banned. It is not 'fair' or 'even' it just adds further situational imbalance that feels off and unfair.
Turning off cross-play is indeed the only solution.
It's also a good idea given that it's become clear - now PC players have worked out how to turn off cross-play themselves - that cross-play has technical issues causing even further gunplay problems. No doubt the reason EA/DICE wouldn't even talk about letting PC players have the same cross-play options as console.
Another thing recently coming to light is not only do console players get aiming aids, mouse control is intentionally hindered by the game when attempting to counter recoil. Another reason gunplay feels bad (for mouse users) and would be better (once we stop cross-play and turn this horrible 'feature' off).
I know some will say that is simply the way recoil has to be implemented... It's not, else it would be the same for controller, no?
And given that console players insist PC players are cheaters even though the stats show console players 'commonly' use Cronos or some other form of hacked controller, I doubt either side really want to play with the other.
EA/DICE need to give cross-play options to all and just as importantly turn off all the awful stuff they've coded to accommodate cross-play if a player turns it off.
It is awful. If you are shooting at someone and another enemy even comes close it pulls you away to the other one causing you to lose the initial gunfight. So it has to be turned off or way down.
Of all the games I have played (100 hours) every person with 100+ kills in a game have been pc players. The leaderboards at the end of the game are usually pc players.
In today's society we have players who the moment they get out played run to the forums to cry about this or that. We'll maybe you just got outplayed. Maybe the sniper (sniping really easy in bf6) just got a good shot. Not everything is aim assist, or wall hacking or cheating. But in today's ego driven world that cant be. There has to be some other reason that a player beat you in a gun battle.
A pc player will go 56-4 in a game and the immediately cry "aim assist"....
I get that some people cry “aim assist” every time they lose, and yes, that definitely happens. But that doesn’t mean the system isn’t broken right now. The issue isn’t about who’s on top of the leaderboard, it’s about how crossplay handles different inputs.
That pull away effect you mentioned is a perfect example. It overcompensates and ends up deciding fights more than actual aim or positioning. Controller players get sticky tracking and reduced recoil, while mouse users are dealing with extra dampening and recoil.. it’s not a fair fight, it’s the system choosing a winner. And if you have used a m/kb you would know especially in the BR mode, the guns hav e WILD recoil.. Hold down for a second and your looking at the sky.
People aren’t whining just for ego. When you see a controller player tracking targets at 200+ meters in full auto, that’s not skill, that’s the game doing it for them. It ruins the gunplay for everyone else.
The solution isn’t to get rid of aim assist completely, it’s to tone it down and let fights be about skill, not what the game decides to help you with. Right now it’s just broken. That, or just lump console with console and PC with PC. Then we have no issue. Controller players can aimbot away at themselves.
Maybe buy a controller and then go back to mnk cause your bad...

I play controller these days seen as I'm on a couch with my big **bleep** t.v plugged into my pc, of course I still carve em up but no where near as quick as mnk.
