It's not an issue of aim assist. it's a desync issue. I'm constantly getting one shot killed by console players a couple frames after they appear on my screen. lots of my WTF deaths come from console players.
this is a network/netcode issue. BF6 has the worst hit detection of any game I've played.

I am an xbox player hardwired directly to my modem. Since the update hit detections/registrations are insanely horrible now. I can light guys up for days and never have them drop but when I die I am insta killed. Controller also feels very delayed and my confidence in the game is shot. But I have also had games where I am dominating and I go "I shouldn't have killed that guy." Those games are far and few in between as I am mostly screaming at my game "How many hits you want to take bro?" The game is just not as fun as pre update for me.

PS5 guy here, it's the netcode. Although to be fair I turned off crossplay and it was 100 times better. Still run into 1 or 2 cronus losers per night, but at least with crossplay off it's not 4 or 5 cheaters per game

Thank you for saying this. I know there is a netcode/desync issue. I see the little icon in the upper left all the time. If console players notice it, then it is really bad. The problem is with everything combined (netcode/desync + hit registration + controllers having reduced bloom, reduced recoil + aim assist) how many things do I need against me before this game is "fair?" I will not go into a rant about constantly being put into squads with people not even a third of my level or in games where teams are being crushed by over 50%. I mean FFS! I thought I was a decent player, but not anymore! When the game is this much against you, why even play!? 300+hrs in and I can't get a refund, so I am stuck until the issues are addressed. Thanks EA/DICE! You got my hopes up and ruined them by doing the same BS you always do!
