As the title says. I’m basically retired from Battlefield after feeling disappointed and frustrated with 2042 after my very long Battlefield career. I’m trying to keep my distance and not get dragged into the hype. Anyone else in the same position?
The open beta will be the deciding factor. 🙂
It's simple. No server browser no buy. After 2042 I just simply don't care anymore. bF is pretty much dead to me. So unless they pull of some sort of miracle I doubt I'll buy BF6.
So far it looks like it’s only going to be Conquest, Rush, Breakthrough and some new game mode in All-out-warfare. If they are going to time gate TDM and Domination again, then it’s an instant pass for me again.
I really really want a server browser as well. If they at minimum have persistence in the main servers between rounds I'l give it a very small pass so that at least it doesn't screw over parties and such. But if they do full on quick match and re-queue like in 2042 it's likely a pass for me as well.
Personally I thought the multiplayer reveal gameplay looked like a Call of Duty/Battlefield hybrid. The map graphics and gunplay looked very much like Call of Duty. Even the words on screen like "5 kill streak" with it's fonts and everything screamed Call of Duty to me. Oh and that shotgun was NOT a Battlefield shotgun, it was a Call of Duty shotgun all the way. And the vehicles looked like they were copy and pasted from BF 2042. Gone are the days of sandbox Battlefield and it's been replaced by midsize maps with a large emphasis on infantry gameplay. Lucky us.....
Needless to say I'll play the beta but probably won't buy the game until I see what they deliver for post launch content. With Live Service I'm sure it will be underwhelming.
It's come at a good time having moved houses and being rather busy in life for the last year or 2. So excited.
Save your money until they come up with an anti cheat ...…. THAT ACTUALLY WORKS.

From what I saw (streams, leaks and tests) Battlelfield 6 can be potential a good game. It gives me BF3 and Bf4 vibes which is a good sign I think. Guess I'll be one of those who will return to Battlelfield.
I've played all BF titles since i was a kid, started with 1942.
Obviously BF went down since Battlefield 4, BF1 did have a really cool atmosphere but they screwed up a lot of stuff and nothing since has been really that good.
But BF6 seems to reverting to how it was before. Normal vehicle spawn system, no hero classes, gritty, destruction(where the hell did that go!?)
