Anyone else feel like recon sucks now?

I read they don't want people up high as snipers because of an unfair advantage, which is complete nonsense. Trying to play recon now just feels lame. Between these ridiculously small maps and being unable to find height, there just seems no point in using any long range guns. I honestly would love to get a refund on this game, it really doesn't even feel like any Battlefield I've ever played in any way.

Side rant: the vehicle upgrades are stupid. There are just a few upgrades even available and running armor was always my go-to when I wanted a break from recon. I played two nights and have almost every upgrade already. 

Just not having fun. I hope this game gets better down the road, feels like a waste of $70.
