Are tanks too hard to kill?

I feel like killing tanks are much harder in BF6 that it was in any of the previous games. When I hit a tank with 3 out of my 3 anti-tank rockets, it still have 50% HF and can just heal back up if there's an enemy engineer in the tank - and if there isn't then it doesn't really matter much anyway since you're out of rockets anyway. At that point you might as well not use any anti-tank rocket launchers at all, if you won't be able to kill a tank anyway.

The way I remember BF3 and BF4, tanks had to use cover and positioning more wisely, than they do now. You couldn't let an engineer unload all of his rockets into you, without taking cover and repairing back up, or shooting him before he can land 3 rockets (the reload is kinda slow).

Is it just me who think tanks are too hard to kill? What are your thought on it?

Tanks are team assets. It shouldn't be easy for a single player to take out a tank and it should be even harder when supported by engineers. If I use the default rocket launcher and hit a tank 3 times, it's either dead or near dead, unless they have an engineer repairing it. I'm not 100% sure how it works, but I do believe that it does matter where you hit the tank. Shooting it from the front of going to do less damage than shooting it from the rear.

There are plenty of people playing engineer and as soon as they see a tank burning, they are like sharks when they see blood, they'll rush in to kill it. So sticking to your teammates is certainly the way to go.

It's true that it matters where the tank gets hit in terms of damage (more dmg taken from the back and sides) - but I don't know if this is relevant when you use the javelin type anti-tank rocket launcher (can't remember it's exact name rn), because it is guided and always hits from above

I agree that tanks are a team asset and shouldn't be easy for a single engineer to kill. But I also don't think that would be the case, if it took less than 6 javelin hits to kill one. It's not easy for an engineer to fire at a tank 3 times, without being shot by said tank himself. And I don't think a tank should be able to completely disregard positioning/cover because they can just tank every one of an engineer's javelin missiles, and still be healthy afterwards.

It's certainly a balance, not to have tanks be too easy or too hard to kill. In my personal experience from playing the game for 2 days now though, tanks seem to be wreaking havoc. I don't know if any of the later anti-tank missile launchers you unlock at later tanks do more damage though.

Tanks in BF6 are made of rice paper.....They should be extremely difficult to kill solo

and a challenge for a squad of engi's

Back in BF4 ,I alone, could handle 2 squads of engineers no problem with the correct loadout (I was in the top 1% in BF4)

but in Bf6,1-2 engi's can secure the kill........Which is rediculious

Tanks should absolutely be feared and something that should be looked at as a high value threat

Not rocket fodder .......IMHO,tanks in BF6 are no threat

  • Cant agree with you.

Tanks at the release of bf 6, 10 october 2025

are the worst tanks, and in general all vehicules in the game are bad as hell.

    Bad driving, felt very bad

Health of tanks are too few
One mine feels to me that destroy a tank, but i could be wrong

Also, if you are the unlucky guy to see a squad of engineers in front, your tank is dead, because it will stop moving, and you just wait for the next rockets.
This is by far, from all previous games i've played the worst experience in a tank.

Also add, that city maps with tanks is HORRIBLE.
RPG from roofs? Who believed this was a good idea?

I personally didn't get the impression that tanks were too strong in this game (yet). At least, I've not seen too many extremely good tank players yet, but the people that ended up making clear mistakes, got deleted within seconds. So it's certainly not the case that a  tank is able to disregard positioning/cover. Especially because that would make the engineers extremely vulnerable.
