I expect it would never happen, but honestly - great idea.
I wonder if portal can create something like that? Sadly, nobody would play it anyway, because of how EA handles portal designs.
Truly would be an outstandingly unique and fun idea adding a whole new dimension to the gameplay however. Imagine that each team only has 1,000 reserves and when the third is defeated, it's a face-off between the remaining two from however many tickets remain. - horntho20 days agoNew Hotshot
This has been thrown out as an idea before.
They straight up ignored it....
I agree though! You'd think this would have been the next step in the Battlefield Franchise.

IMO it would cater for all the imbalanced stomping that happens presently. When you're being stomped by one team, players can simply fight on the other front for some equality instead. Alternatively, both weaker teams may naturally end up fighting the greater team by happenstance. It would be a lot more viable if the map/landscape orchestrated teams meeting in the map center, by which if one team takes it over, both other teams are hitting them in each side - resulting in a valid free-for-all where even a weaker team can win by a lucky coordinated play at the end - exciting for everybody!

It was my idea and I wrote since one year and wardogs probably saw my messages and wardogs game will have this mod

For example Pax armata vs BF3 Russia vs 1942 Germany

This is possible in Portal custom, I believe. 4 teams, I am almost sure, so probably 3 teams is also an option. But the scoreboard would be screwed. You'd have to use the free-for-all scoreboard, I believe, and just scroll through the teams randomly populated based on score (or whatever sorting method chosen). You could sort them by team # (1, 2, or 3), not a team name, but then the players of each team would appear in a random order not ordered by a sub-order.
Someone could make it, but if no one plays it, it's not worth the effort. If it is made, will you play it? Or will you say you don't know how to use the server browser or too bad because Portal sucks?

No, what I mean is there will be 3 different teams in Conquest mode, on a 100-player server and a large map. For example, one side will be Pax Armata, another Battlefield 4 China, and the other NATO or 1942 Germany. They will enter through a portal, and the one who gets their hands on the flags first will win.

Yes, the request is clear. I believe it is possible, except for the scoreboard being a bit harder to look at. There is no 3-team scoreboard available, so it would have to be represented in a free-for-all scoreboard. That wouldn't affect the gameplay.
But will people play it, made through Portal, in a community server? Because every time I try, people just complain that it isn't official. So, would it be played, if made, or would people rather hold their breath for 3 years?
Where's Horntho to bash this idea?

I confirmed that 3 teams conquest is currently possible, but there are caveats.
The game gets confused about what game mode you are trying to play, so it enforces the lower max bot limit of 36 bots total, instead of 64.
AI for team 3 behaves more like tdm than conquest, so you have to give it more goals to keep it focused on the game objective. The AI commander for team 1 and 2 still works properly and gives conquest-type gameplay commands, but team 3 doesn't get objective orders from the AI commander, so you have to do it manually. Even after creating the typescript variables and arrays for AI commander to interface with a team 3, I think the game's code just doesn't expect/try to interface that way.
There are only 2 team outfits and vehicles, so team 3 is going to look like an existing team. Not that most would really notice.
It works, but who would play it?
