Everyone crying about he layoffs like the game is now dead. When Blizzard removed 75% of the team working on D3 to move on to D4, the game dramatically improved because it was then being handled by people who had a genuine interest in the game and they no longer had to work through 20 different committees just to make a tiny change.
Time will tell if the removal of a significant portion of the team will actually cause any issues. Almost every large studio operates this way now. They hire a large team for release and some post-release support, then eventually thin the team down to people who are actually needed to keep it running.
To the main post, EA has still failed to address major bugs they introduced in the very first S1 patch. Don't hold your breath they actually fix anything, because the most they claim to have done was fix a recoil bug that was effectively impossible to identify the changes as a regular player.
I understand what you mean, and I hope so too. The current game has both strengths and weaknesses. If future fixes and optimizations are made, I believe the game will become more appealing to me and other players than before. However, I also hope the officials will actively listen to suggestions and ideas. We are consumers with reasonable demands, which is essential for creating a larger market.
