Assault overhaul. All other classes are fine!
Hi. I believe the Assault class needs to be overhauled.
Medic fulfils its role perfectly on the Battlefield and has ammo. Self-sufficient class, but still defenceless against vehicles. May drop smoke and conceal himself easily. I think Mortar should be moved to the Recon class. Medics should be busy reviving and resupplying.
An engineer is perfect because this class still possesses all attributes from previous battlefields.
Sniper also works as Spec Ops thanks to C4/Claymore and other gadgets. Suppressed MP5 combo with Claymores and additional awareness is simply amazing. Recon class is lethal. Sniper Rifles are OP with Range Finder and Scope Adjustment bound together with one key - must be nerfed!
Poor Assault.
Assault is problematic as hell. Not good enough against infantry, not good enough to push, manoeuvre around the flank, or engage vehicles. Assault, as a class, is mediocre at best since beta. Only highly skilled players may actually enjoy Assault.
Let us be honest. An adrenaline shot is just useless and amplifies almost nothing when it comes to footsteps. Without an amplifier and an external/internal soundcard, I cannot hear anything anyway. 1/3 of the sounds with footsteps are missing in the mix. Footsteps cannot be heard in certain situations. An adrenaline shot doesn`t restore health on demand. Instead, we do have a passive ability that regenerates health at a faster rate. Applying an adrenaline shot is useless while we still can draw the knife and run faster.
Instead of revealing a whole body posture, some rings or cobweb-like/radio-like rings should be present for a brief moment to reveal enemies moving at close range. Revealing their whole posture (after applying Adrenaline) and direction of their guns was too OP in BETA.
By default, Assault should have a Spawn Beacon or a Ladder as a class trait/ability. An adrenaline shot should be interchangeable with a grenade launcher, etc. At least 2 adrenaline shots, which might be used on demand.
Shotguns are nerfed at close range, and the M1014 with the Saiga seem pretty weak after nerfs. TR7 is a better option, any SMG, honestly, but not a shotgun.
Assault is missing the LVG grenade launcher and the Smoke Grenade Launcher. I cannot be effective at breaching or making a push without it.
Assault to my taste should have much better protection against the sweetspot Sniper Mechanic, or sweetspot, even, should not apply to his chest. Assault could have a passive to get 5% less damage to a chest.
Assault should capture and recapture objectives faster. Even this effect should work globally for the Squadmates. Also, Assault could resupply himself faster from the Support crates and carry more ammo for the main Rifle by 2 and 1-2 more throwable grenades.
Assault should lead the charge, and right now is merely a sluggish shadow.
