Attack helicopters should not be on Vegas strip

You know when you bring an invasive species that is amazing for an environment  and has few natural enemies?

This is what the attach helicopter is on the new maps on Escalation. It is full of places for the heli to go to cover to cover.

The gunner will destroy everyone in that map because the BF6 AH gunner seat has both a great cannon with IR vision and also a version of the AGM that can lock on stuff from such range that it can fire them at the enemy spawn (did they turn off the spawn zone protection btw?).

Either the Attack heli gotta go off this map or the AGM should move to the pilot seat like in previous games.

This will become the favored farming place for the heli bro duos.

Normally I am the "do not nerf vehicles" guy. But this is indefensible.

  • When I play on this map, I feel just like in the early days of this game a year ago in Manhattan Bridge. When my friend and I flying in AH and usually getting over 180 kills. It is too easy in Battlefield 6. In Battlefield 3 and 4, that was rarely possible because you could hide somewhere, but here, people were always running in the open area. If I remember correctly, it was harder to get that many kills in Bad Company 2 of course this game had open areas, but I don't remember it ever being that easy for pilots to get so many kills.

The attack helicopter should be removed from the Las Vegas map; I would add a Little Bird instead.

  • I posted about this yesterday too, gunner had 159 kills. Today in a game another gunner had 170+ by the end of the round.

Easy fix seems disable IR in combination with the heavy hitting/splash damage cannon.Slow down cannon rate of fire. Reduce its splash damage.

Vegas strip reminds me of the hovercraft cannons in 2042. That got nerfed way too late. Hope this does not take that long

  • "Don't worry guys, we're finally fixing the little bird!"
*Buffs the attack helo to be 10x the monster*

    Great, thanks EA... Yea, really.

It's more lopsided than you think. The attack heli spawns closer to NATO than Pax, there's only one stationary AA on the entire map at the same point as the attack heli, and for whatever reason the attack heli is INSTANTLY available at the start of the game. You don't even have to capture a nearby point to make it spawn, it's just there already. I don't think it should be there at all, nothing really contests a good duo at all. They can easily shut down the stationary AA at B and most likely NATO controls that point anyway with the snowball advantage they get from having an attack heli demolish everything on the ground.

As a veteran tank main of the series who sees the balance from this perspective I can safely say the buffs to attack choppers firepower in season 3 was where the air vs ground balance took a nosedive.

Unfortunately in 2042 we had the Nightbird that was farming all armour for 3 whole years before the vehicle dev team removed one of it's AGMs which solved the issue immediately.

So after seeing the vehicle team fail spectacularly in 2042 I have little faith they understand what is happening on public servers and will continue to allow the attack choppers to dominate on certain maps when a good crew get in one.
