Auto-spotting is too much
It's like shooting Doritos in a gallery. Only the recon should be allowed to auto-spot, and others should only be able to auto-spot with the SOFLAM like in Battlefield 2042.

Manual 3d spotting should be visible to anyone on your team who has line of sight and should always show on the mini map, to go further it should show the direction they are facing on the mini map and it should persist for at least 10 seconds.
Nobody should have any form of auto spot.
Bf4 didn’t auto spot. You had to press the button if you spotted someone. Bf6 you just look down scope.
You can look for optics glare or muzzle flash. The whole point of being a sniper is to be invisible. And cover doesn’t do you any good if a sniper can see your big toe and put a dot over your head
