Banned for 'Gameplay Enhancements'

We wouldn't have the details about whether this was a hardware ban here I'm afraid, you'd need to reach out to the ToS team for any clarification on an account action.

With that said however, there's always a risk when you're using hardware not under your control that someone else using that same device may have done something that resulted in a ban or even a hardware ban. It's possible, though I wouldn't be able to say for certain one way or the other in your specific case, sorry.

But we appeal and you guys do nothing at all dude.. We get accused for no reason and it's not fair on us because we spend money on this game and to get banned for absolutely nothing and then get accused for cheating is absolutely rediculous.. I am furious

I was banned a few days ago

For the same gameplay enhancement. 

I was not logged into apex since last week Tuesday when I tried logging in over the weekend it tells me my account was locked out.. When I checked my status it showed I got banned when I appealed it. It told me for gameplay enhancement. I appealed it four times.. And they said I was cheating.. This is for no reason by the way.. I got banned for no reason.. I seriously need help because I am using this account for years.. I recently got an hierloom and this happens.. Please can someone assist me

I've been playing Apex Legends as a legitimate player for over 2400 hours, with zero prior violations or penalties on my account — I've always followed all game rules.

Recently my account got a permanent ban marked as "Gameplay Enhancement". This happened right when I was playing at a public internet cafe. The cafe uses a diskless system, so as a customer I have no permission to install any software or modify system settings on the device, and the computer fully resets after every user restarts. I didn't use any cheats, macros or unauthorized tools myself during the session.

Could you please help me confirm one simple thing: Is this ban related to Hardware ID (HWID) association? Was it triggered by the device's previous cheating records from other users?

I don't need any specific detection details or technical logs at all — I just need to confirm the ban category, so I can figure out the root cause and avoid this problem again in the future.

Thanks for reaching back out BluePulseFlyerOl​, not having a response after this much time is pretty unusual actually. Typically that should be no more than a week at the upper end, most often within 72 hours even.

At this point since that's still pending, I'd definitely try a new appeal to bump this issue with the team so they can get a different pair of eyes on it. Sorry this wait has been so lengthy in the meantime. 

Thank you for the genuine reply.  Sadly, I'm still waiting for a resolution to my case: #249716992, the re-appeal has been open for a month. Ive said it before and I'll say it again; if there is legitimate evidence that suggests I was cheating in some way I'm more than happy to correct whatever lead to my ban. If that means deleting an application, or force stopping it to ensure it does not run while the game runs, I don't mind. It makes sense that the specific information honestly, I hadn't considered that people would use that information to engineer workarounds if it were available. I can carefully review the ToS again and double check to ensure that what I have doesn't fit the broad descriptions of what would be considered cheating.
What I can say is that over the past few weeks I've played a fair bit of Apex legends with no issue. I don't know how similar the anti-cheat between the two games are but I've been careful to make sure that discord overlay was disabled and that the Xbox system processes that provide overlay were forced stop during gameplay. 
I hope my ban can get lifted soon. It doesn't appear that I have any other avenue of discussing this with someone 'official' so if it is possible for someone to notify studio of my case still pending it would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like you've already gone through the appeal system a couple times and are aware, but just to clarify - the only team able to review a ban or suspension would be the Terms of Service team, via an appeal. I'm afraid we would not be able to provide specific names of any program(s) detected or exact timestamps, as that type of information is extremely valuable to those that would wish to bypass the detection systems.

You're absolutely welcome to appeal again (as you've done) to have a different member of the ToS team review the situation again. If the action cannot be removed however, at most they'll be able to provide the category (Gameplay Enhancement) and some examples of what that includes - not any specific program names, sorry. Please keep an eye on your case history page and the ToS team will be back in touch as soon as that investigation wraps up, thanks for the patience in the meantime.
