Instead of encouraging cautious play, reliance on teammates, or the critical role of the medic, this feature transforms Battlefield 6 into a chaotic run-and-gun fest where survival requires no thought or coordination. Every match feels like a mindless deathmatch straight out of Call of Duty, lacking the depth that once defined the series.
Unfortunately I agree. But in the same breath I acknowledge that it is a small sacrifice to pay to keep the series alive.
The competition is unforgiving.
Time after time I see on Discord, Reddit, X, YT, here, people saying "I've been playing the BF franchise since the dinosaurs were around... and BF6 is not the same vibe because <insert gripe/issue/fault/legitimate complaint>".
There were no Fortnite, Apex, Overwatch, PUBG, Finals, etc, back then.
This is what Battlefield is up against: {courtesy of Perplexity}
There was only CoD and CS back then.
In essence: EA/DICE must retake market share by any means possible—while attempting to please the 'original veterans' of the series.
Smaller maps? Running and gunning more often? Faster reheal? Reactive rather than proactive? So be it, if the BF atmosphere is still there.
