Battlefield 6 becomes monotonous after a while due to its maps.
The game ends up feeling repetitive, as almost all the maps offer the same experience. The action is frantic from the start, and after a few hours, it becomes exhausting: a constant cycle of killing and dying, with no respite, with no room to move freely. Always under someone's watchful eye.
I have no problem with weapons being slow to unlock, I can tolerate that. What really wears me down is the absolute chaos generated by such small maps.
Close Quarters (CQ) maps have always had their place in the Battlefield series, but you can't build the entire game around them. Battlefield has never been that, no matter how much some streamers insist. This installment starts to feel more like the competition's Ground War mode than a true Battlefield.
I chose Battlefield over any other shooter because it offered me a unique experience: the freedom to play my way, to change pace within a single game, and to not feel pigeonholed into a single playstyle. That versatility was what made it special to me. However, that essence is not being reflected in this new installment.
Battlefield 6 demands total concentration and sticking to your META weapon. If you have a competitive profile, forget about slowing down or experimenting with other weapons: doing so is practically an invitation to get knocked down again and again.
