Battlefield 6 Beta – Consistent Vault + Prone Collision Exploit (PS5)

Hello,

During extensive testing in the Battlefield 6 Beta on PlayStation 5, I discovered a consistent and easily reproducible collision exploit in the Shooting Range. This exploit allows the player character to bypass collision detection on thin objects and certain cover elements by combining vaulting and going prone mid-animation.

How it works:

When sprinting towards a vaultable object—such as a thin table or low barrier—if you vault onto it and immediately go prone during the vault animation (the timing is critical), the player’s collision box temporarily disables or glitches. This lets the character clip through the object instead of being stopped by it.

Why it matters:

  • This exploit can be used to pass through thin geometry such as tables, fences, or even cars.
  • It potentially allows players to bypass intended map boundaries or get out of the playable area (“out of map”).
  • Such exploits can be abused in multiplayer modes for unfair advantages, including hiding in unintended places or escaping combat scenarios.
  • Since it’s consistent and easy to reproduce with minimal timing skill, it presents a serious risk to competitive integrity.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Sprint towards a vaultable object in the Shooting Range (e.g., table).
  2. Vault onto the object.
  3. Immediately go prone during the vault animation (precise timing needed).

Expected behavior:

Player collision should remain active at all times, preventing clipping through solid objects during animations.

Actual behavior:

The player clips through thin objects, bypassing collision and moving through geometry that should be solid.

Frequency:

This happens reliably every time with correct timing.

Please let me know if you need any additional information or further testing footage to assist in resolving this issue.

Thank you for your attention to this exploit, which I believe is important to fix before full release to maintain fair play.

Kind regards,
