Battlefield 6: Bugs, Balance, Bad Design

At first Battlefield 6 feels like it nailed it. New systems, flashy trailers, Portal mode, total freedom. Then the hype fades. Portal basically died 20 days in and the rest of the game isn’t far behind. If the devs don’t start listening to the players this game’s done. It’ll be another forgotten “what could’ve been” in the Battlefield pile... The more you play the worse it gets. Visual bugs, broken animations, gun glitches, netcode issues. It all piles up and we get no response from the devs.

The point system is one of the dumbest ideas they’ve ever added. It doesn’t balance a thing, it just strips all the fun out of building guns since you can never have everything on them that you want.  Instead of building a weapon around your playstyle you’re constantly fighting the system just to make something functional. The majority of attachments cost a really dumb amount so you end up compromising every time, never getting the setup you actually want. It’s not customization, it’s limitation with extra steps.

Then you’ve got the class system which is even worse. It pretends to offer flexibility but actually punishes you for trying to experiment. Sure they say you can use any weapon on any class but the second you step outside your “signature” category everything feels nerfed. All the guns suddenly gain weird spread patterns, random bullet deviation and unpredictable recoil that makes them feel completely off. You’ll shoot one guy clean, move around a corner, do the exact same thing and aim dead on but somehow not hit a single shot. Nothing ever feels consistent and the guns never behave how you expect.

Weapon balance? Yeah that’s a good one. Some guns are laser-accurate while hip firing with zero spread or recoil, while others fight you even when you’re aiming dead on. You spawn in, your gun feels solid, everything’s fine, you’re happy, then you die, respawn and suddenly your gun’s got Parkinson’s. The reticle turns thermal, the screen starts having a seizure and you’re dead before you even figure out what just happened. Nothing feels tested, nothing feels consistent, and it just gets worse the longer you play.

BF6 turned into a numbers game where the weapon stats are meaningless and nothing shoots the way it should. If the game wants you dead you’re dead. It’s a system obsessed with fake balance that was designed poorly and implemented worse it's like the Devs forgot what Battlefield is supposed to be and let AI build the whole thing. Every update breaks something else. Just look at the recent challenge update. It should’ve been a simple thing but they somehow made it worse. They lowered the requirements but still managed to break almost every single one. Items won’t unlock, progress gets stuck and players are locked out of rewards completely.

  • Yup, it is a slop game they spent over 400 million dollars on. Clearly all of that money went into the free to play version of the game which is just battlefield warzone. Recycled slop for the paid version. the bullets don't even fire in the same direction the gun is pointing and some times they come out perpendicular to the barrel. The audio is awful at best. Also, they just made up names for the weapon systems. 400 million couldn't afford some real weapon platforms?
