Yes, play a lot of Casual Breakthrough- when you can beat the bots easily you'll be ready.
Play medic (ammo), give yourself SMG as they don't require ADS, just point n spray. Look up 'BF6 weapons SMG' for load-out advice.
Keep your weapon pointing slightly up, most run around with it pointed at the ground. In the time it takes to raise the weapon to enemy level you are dead.
Don't be the first through the door. Deploy the shield when you stop for a short time.
Cover an angle at all times.
