Battlefield 6

My Honest Review and Feedback for Battlefield 6

Upon purchasing Battlefield 6, my first impressions were very positive. The campaign started off strong — engaging, well-paced, and enjoyable. I completed it in roughly 12–13 hours, taking my time to explore and appreciate the story and design. It was genuinely fun, and I could see the effort that went into building the single-player experience.

However, once I switched over to multiplayer, the experience quickly began to decline. While I will say the multiplayer servers themselves are currently stable and populated — which is great — this is where most of my issues started.

The first and most noticeable problem is the lag and input stuttering. During matches, I often experience jitter and frame inconsistencies that make gunfights frustrating. On top of that, controller support feels extremely poor. When aiming and shooting, my gun will randomly stop aiming down sights or stop firing altogether, even though I haven’t released the triggers. This completely ruins the flow of combat and causes me to lose firefights that I should have won.

Next, matchmaking balance is practically non-existent. Every match seems to throw me into lobbies with much higher-level, more experienced players. Despite averaging around 75–76 kills per Conquest round, my team usually gets dominated, making it difficult to actually enjoy the game. There’s little sense of fair play or progression when the system constantly mismatches skill levels.

Vehicle balance is another major issue. When playing as the defending team, there’s often a severe lack of tanks and armoured vehicles, leaving us completely outmatched. Meanwhile, the attacking team frequently has multiple tanks at once. It becomes frustrating when every game mode — Breakthrough, Conquest, or otherwise — turns into tank after tank after tank on the enemy side, while we get almost nothing. Even worse, when I’m on the attacking side, it often takes five or six pushes before we even see a tank spawn. This is simply unfair and unbalanced.

Additionally, teamplay and squad dynamics feel nonexistent. Many players seem to play more like Call of Duty users — camping in buildings, ignoring objectives, and refusing to revive or assist teammates. This completely kills the cooperative spirit that Battlefield has always been known for.

Overall, I would rate Battlefield 6 a 3 out of 10. The campaign was the only highlight for me — enjoyable enough to finish but still a little too short and lacking depth. The story itself feels generic, almost like a recycled Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 concept, rather than an original Battlefield narrative.

In summary, while Battlefield 6 has potential and a solid foundation, it’s let down by poor balance, bad controller handling, unresponsive combat mechanics, and unfair matchmaking. I strongly urge DICE to take a long, serious look at these issues and work toward fixing what could otherwise be a great entry in the Battlefield franchise.
